Over 200 People Hanging out at The Magical House of Sunshine! CONTEST!

I just noticed that there are over 200 fine folks who have decided to spend some time checking out the various stuff I'm making and doing here in the Magical House of Sunshine. That sort of blows my mind. So I've decided to have a brief contest to say thanks.

Back in 2013 I used Instant Mold to make a custom 40K base from a space marine pawn from the board-game Relic. I'd like to give it to one of you!

Just comment on this post and let me know what initially brought you to my blog. I'd like to know what you all like so I can keep doing that! In a couple of weeks I'll randomly pick someone from the comments and send you this lovely, and pre-painted base. (Miniatures for scale only, not included. Sorry, they're my toys.)

Thanks again for hanging out here at the Magical House!

"Son, we need to talk about the size of your shoulder pads..."

"They're just not tall enough. Your mother and I are worried."

  1. Hi, I think your miniatures brought me to your blog. The Terror of Shindig Sandbar and the Giant Deep One are quite cool! I also enjoy your articles about scratchbuilding a lot, like those about Colton's Curse. And everything else. Cheers, Karl

  2. I was directed here when I started my chaos grav-attack (duely based on a deodorant) and immediately registered to see more of your work. I fancy the diversity and the different take you have on things, it tends to interest me more than what looks like what I do myself.

    1. Deodorant container grav-attacks are one of the things that got me into this hobby in the first place. I'm glad you're here.

  3. I think you said something like "hey you should check out my blog." And I was like "okay." And there was always something cool that made me go "whoa, that's pretty cool."

  4. I'm in the same boat as Clarke. You said on FB that you had a blog, and I was all like "Say what? A Roeblog? I've gotta get me some of that action!" It's been well worth it - I always look forward to your posts.

  5. I think it was your kitbashing competition a few years back? I was searching "kitbashing blogs" on Google & came across yours. I like your eclectic mix of mini gaming paraphernalia too.....come for the food, stay for the wine kinda thing :)

Don't worry about including me in the base comp, I like plain old boring gravel/drybrushed bases myself. Best give it to someone who'll appreciate it more than I, preferably someone with more class ;)

    Keep up the good work.

    Cheers.
